With his faithful Indian companion, Tonto, the Lone Ranger fought the outlaws of the west. Three men had just finished eating at Tex Dillan's cafe. Two of the three were brothers, still in their early twenties. Their companion however, was middle-aged, a well-dressed man with shrewd, kindly features. The two younger men clearly held the man in high esteem, and when he tried to square the bill on behalf of them all, one of the younger men chose to pay the bill in full instead.
