In the Great Gildersleeve’s town of Summerfield it’s a little after 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The time when growing kids bring hearty appetites home but it isn’t dinnertime for an hour and a half. Marjorie arrives home in not too good a mood, of all the weekend assignments she has to take care of a baby for an evening as part of her Domestic Science class.
