Because there wasn’t enough evidence to bring Grody to trial for cattle thieving the Judge issued a court order for his release from jail. Mr Flagg wasn’t happy that the Judge wouldn’t take his daughter’s word for it when she said she’d seen Grody stealing the cattle. Flagg tells Grody in from of Matt Dillon that if he sees him anywhere near his ranch he will put a bullet in him.
