George Valentine is hired by a wealthy rancher to investigate the theft of some valuable cattle. The rancher believes that a mountain lion is responsible for the thefts, but George soon discovers that there is more to the story than meets the eye. As George investigates, he uncovers a web of deceit and treachery. He learns that the ranch foreman is in league with a group of rustlers who are stealing the cattle and selling them on the black market. George must use all of his skills to catch the rustlers and bring them to justice.
