Lamont and Cranston break down in their car and find them selves seeking refuge in a mysterious old mansion. They hope to be able to use a telephone but nothing new has been put in the castle since 1640. The present owner of the castle tells them that the original owner had committed suicide in the cloisters of the tower and that a superstition had hung over the house ever since.
