Tony Valletti and Peppi have been sent by the mobster boss Angelo to pick up Nick from his hideout in the mountains and bring him back to Chicago alive so that he can kill him. However Peppi drives the car off the road in to a canyon killing himself but Valletti is alive hanging on the canyon wall. He calls for help and finds it from Nick but after risking his life to save Valletti Nick has gotta kill him to save him self.
