When he was 10 years old he first read Edgar Allan Poe’s story of The Miraculous Room about a room who’s walls closed slowly in on their prisoners and it left a deep impression on him. His most persistent nightmare was that he was the poor devil in the story. He didn’t know then that the old elevator man had been impressed by it too and that some day he would actually be the man in the room…
