Yesterday, Mr. Carter, representing a South West oil company, arrived in Pine Ridge to negotiate for the oil well that Lum and Abner recently drilled. He seemed very interested in buying their holdings. Evidently, by the morning, an agreement has been reached, but the deal isn't yet closed.
