Lum decides that Pine Ridge needs some more culture in the town. He thinks the citizens of Pine Ridge need a higher standard of ignorance and he decides to write an opera. Thing is no one is buying any tickets for it. Abner suggests he needs a well known star to play his leading character so Lum gets Opie Cates to find him a singing star. Zasu is not able to play the leading lady and Abner won't do it so Andy reluctantly steps into the role of Delilah. The leading star that Opie finds is non other than country singer Tennessee Ernie. It looks like Lum's opera is going to be a country version of Samson and Delilah!
