Abner is trying to reassure Grandpap that Lum isn't mad at him for getting out of the deal. In fact he was tickled to death as he didn't want to build the office for Grandpap's friend anymore than Grandpap wanted to have one built! If both of them hadn't been so stubborn headed they wouldn't have got in to the mix-up! Now Lum is planning a big welcome for veterinarian Doc Withers's arrival on Monday.
