Captain Lee Quince is at Major Daggett’s home for dinner. After retreating for brandy and cigars, the Major diverts the conversation to Officer Sibberts, a good officer who has respect for the Captain’s rank, but fears him as a person. The Major is concerned this will make Sibberts ineffective. Captain Lee Quince needs to allow Sibberts to confront his fears.
