A chance meeting of two people aboard a ship leads to a love affair in this drama that is both happy and serious at the same time, happy because the parties to the romance are such good company and serious because love is like that.

Irene Dunne plays the part of Terry McKaye the same role she played in the 1939 RKO Picture directed by Leo McCarey.
