Mona Walsh was married to bank hold-up murderer Ted Walsh and she left him when she found out what he did. However he has followed her to New York and she is afraid of him finding her and hires Barrie Craig to stakeout in front of her house. Craig discovers that Walsh had murdered the bank guard and he and an accomplice stole off with $60,000. Craig turns down the protection job knowing it is most likely a set up by the accomplice to get Ted Walsh killed and probably Mona too so that he can pocket the whole $60,000. Craig is more interested in catching the accomplice.
