Norma Wells believes her stepmother has murdered her father after he died three days ago suddenly and unexpectedly. Norma and her father were close until he married his second wife, Mabel Burke whom he met through a lonely-hearts club. There was an insurance policy on his life for $50,000 which was issued a month after his marriage and the beneficiary was Mabel Burke. But was this enough motive for Burke to kill her husband?
