The call of trouble took united States Marshall Wild Bill Hickok with his deputy Jingles throughout the west from the Canadian line to the Mexican border country. In the early fall of 1877 they headed south through Colorado after putting a stop to a Wyoming Range law. A lazy Indian summer sun beat as they walked their horses along. It was time for talking and Jingles was getting a history lesson.
