After an evening singing round the piano with their friends the Atterbury’s Liz is told by the others that their quartet has just become a trio. Liz decides to have singing lessons but her tutor tells her she is a “natural born listener” and not a singer. Maid Katie tells her she ought to do like her sister and write songs. Liz decides that is what she will do and she wins a song writing competition on the radio.
