Alice tells George to eat all the bacon he wants as the meat shortage is over. Her cousin Nellie is sending them a hog. She writes he is the biggest boar in Jackson County and is called Henry. Alice explains that her uncle named all his hogs after their children so this one must be after her cousin Henry. George plans to invite all their friends over and have a barbecue and the list is pretty big at 47. George digs a big hole in the garden to barbecue the boar. You can imagine the jokes he has to hear from his friends!
