Dr Christian is trying to drum up help to raise funds for the Children’s hospital when Judy suggests he ask Polly Palmer, all the young people love her and she’s always in the paper or at some ball. When Polly was a little girl in Rivers End Dr Christian used to call her his little sweetheart and now when he tells her how much she means to him (for campaigning for funds) the infatuation of him she harboured as a child she mistakes for love.
