Mitch Carver is out fishing when he comes across a young 8-year-old boy crying. Little Tommy is an orphan who was abandoned in the church when he was a baby and doesn’t know where he came from or who his parents are. Mitch immediately strikes up an affinity with the boy having once been an orphan his self. Mitch was given a chance by his adoptive father and hoped to be a father too to Tommy but his wife Wynn wanted children of her own and finds it hard to love Tommy the way that Wynn does.
