Destination Freedom episodes are dramatizations of the great democratic traditions of the Negro people and is brought to you as a pageant of history and of Americas own destination freedom.

There at some time exists a crisis in the history of a nation when great leaders are needed to prick the national conscience and to pioneer a path toward the extension of human freedom. Such a crisis was the ascendancy of the slave power in 19th century America. Such leaders were a Massachusetts printer and a Boston Lawyer, William Lloyd Garrison and Wendell Phillips. Their relentless and determined fight for the abolition of slavery in their day has made their names revered among the benefactors of mankind.

In a two part series entitled The Liberators Destination Freedom brings you the story of the first of these abolitionists, William Lloyd Garrisons.

NOTE: I am not sure if Part 2 is extant. We don't have it but if you do I would like to hear from you. ned@rusc.com
