It was early in the afternoon as Sergeant Preston drove into Beaver City, but the light had already begun to fade. Still, the Sergeant could see a group of men standing in front of Dr Matthew's cabin on the Main Street. He pulls alongside the men to see what's happening... Joel confirms that there's a man in there who's been badly shot. His dogs brought him in unconscious on the sled, so nobody knows whether it was an accident or not.
