Laura Fenton offers Mike Hammer a thousand dollars to look after Jolie who arrives from Paris this evening for the weekend. Seemed like easy money but Laura believed that Jolie’s life was in danger. Hammer arranges to meet Laura at her hotel later that date to meet Jolie. However when he gets there the police are there and Laura Fenton has been killed. Jolie is in the hotel room but Jolie is not the model French woman Hammer is expecting but a poodle dog.
