Last Wish, The

Phillip Marlow received a call from a local doctor in his area, a doctor who had once removed a bullet from his shoulder, concerning a good friend and patient of his Jacob Schiller. Jacob Schiller had suffered a heart attack and it was his last wish to see his son Jack one more time. Jacob didn’t know where Jack was or what his business was but the Doctor feared that he didn’t sit well with the police which is why he wanted Marlow to find him so that his friend could see his son one last time.
