Barbara Stanwyck plays her original 1949 screen role of Joan Boothe a lady who accompanies husband David to Las Vegas on a business trip. Whilst her husband is at the library writing his book she occupy herself at the casino where she meets casino manager, Horace Carrigan played by Steve McNally. With his encouragement she gets hooked on gambling to disastrous consequences.
