A young man named Richard who is the brother of an old friend of Kitty’s from when she was a young girl turns up in Dodge to visit Kitty. On more than one occasion he tries to defend Kitty’s honor almost getting him self killed until Matt intervenes. Kitty finally tells him straight that she lives her life the way she wants and does not need him defending her.
