Matt and Chester were after a man called Gans who shot Paul in the back in a hold-up. Meanwhile Doc had been up all night looking after Nettie Morbey who was awfully sick. Kitty has always been a good friend with Nettie so decides to go out to Nettie’s ranch and look after her while her husband Luke is away. When Luke returns after three days he is unusually hostile towards Kitty. A few days later when Kitty goes back to see Nettie, Nettie behaves strangely trying to get Kitty not to stay.
