Last year at the Thanksgiving celebrations at Sapphire’s mother’s house George Kingfish Stevens surprised the 22 assembled relatives by getting to his feet and making the following irrevocable statement: Yes folks, I’m telling each and everyone of you sweet people that one year from today you is all invited to my house for a big Thanksgiving dinner.

Well another year has rolled around and once again the happy Thanksgiving season is here and this morning when Sapphire reminded the Kingfish of his invitation he turned to his wife and said sweetly, What have them 22 vultures here for Thanksgiving I won’t have it, I’ll commit suicide first!.
