An old Indian named Topeel a man with much honor in the army was looking for a job bringing the steer in to Dodge City as he knew the trail well. He had a letter from his “friends” in Dodge like a reference but when he showed it to the boss of the cattle herd he read it and it was far from a good reference. The Indian vowed that his “friends” in Dodge City would die for this.
