Detective Clover is investigating another murder in New York. A jazz musician called Kenny Perdue has been violently killed whilst attending a party. When Detective Clover arrives on the scene, the party host is still drunk and offers little help! He then follows the trail, interviewing his roommate, his betrayed fiancee, and several other women he was involved with. The web of lies and deceit is spun thicker and thicker, until eventually one of them breaks under pressure from Detective Clover.
