Funny thing about the whole thing is that we never intended to land on the Planet Nine had circled it and decided it was a pretty low grade affair and wouldn’t amount to anything until a billion years or so. As commander of the galactic survey team he couldn’t waste his time on it, then his exec saw this junkyard through the telescope. They landed, took a look at some alien machine parts discarded by some other spaceship and then prepared for take off, it had all been a waste of time.
