A storm of hurricane proportions swept across the Gulf of Mexico, and caught an old three-masted schooner on the way to Galviston. The crew, fighting wind and waves, had suffered considerable casualties. One man had gone overboard, another injured on the slippery deck. A third, named Sully, had fallen from a cross stay and he was badly injured. Seriously injured.
