Beesy Jones a killer trails Joe Gates on a sightseeing bus and stabs him to death. When Beesy tries to get ,ore money for the job from Boz Slocum owner of an auction room Slocum kills Beesy and dumps him in the ocean. Because Mary wants to buy a chair Blackie uses this as a pretext to search Slocum’s place. Blackie finds a puddle of blood and a hat with the initials BJ in it. Blackie calls inspector Faraday but Faraday is working on the murder of Joe Gates and Beesy death has not as yet been reported.
