There were quick fortunes to be made in the rapid growth of the old west and there were men who made these fortunes, some honestly and some dishonestly. The honest ones kept their fortunes and used them to build a fabulous section of our nation. The dishonest ones preying on the weak and helpless tried one vicious scheme too many and ran in to men like United States Marshall Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles to find themselves caught in the fight like grip of the jaws of the law.
