Lum and Abner went to the county seat yesterday to meet Marion Sloan, the new school teacher, but difficulties with a weighing machine prevented them from carrying out this mission, so now, President Edwards of the school board is anxious to compensate in some way for failing to meet the teacher. As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum and Abner over at the school house, making preparations of some kind.
