Paul Temple is investigating a series of murders committed by a notorious criminal known as, The Marquis. Right now, the Marquis has an appointment at The October Hotel, but shortly after Paul Temple and Sir Graham Forbes arrive on the scene, a fire breaks out in the hotel.
