Bill and Linda Monkton are separated and their little daughter has just arrived home after a day spent with her father. She is all excited about a story that he told her about a knight in shining armour and a beautiful princess. She tells her mother that the princess was called Linda just like her and relays the story to her which of course her mother recognizes as the story of how they met and came to be married.
