Sam Blackett beats up his wife when she tries to prevent him from gabling and drinking away their money. Matt knows this is not the first time he has harmed her and wants to arrest Sam but his wife won’t file a complaint and denies her husband has harmed her. Finally when he beats her nearly to death she has him arrested. But the outcome is a tragic ending.
