The cackling voice of the Hermit invites you to turn out your light and listen to the story of the House on Lost Lands Bluff. It appears that their car has run out of gas but they filled up at the last stop. Denton tries to fix the car while his wife and her brother Charles go and sit by the side then Charles confides in his sister that he feels that Denton only got Charles this job out there in the wilderness so he’d be away from them like he was jealous of his own wife’s brother. He felt Denton had been acting very strange of late and tonight was no exception.
