Everyone is talking about the post-war home houses that will be bought in packages and erected while you wait with a tack hammer and a button bolt. They talk about vacuum-glass walls and radium heating, coal lighting and organic living and kitchen sinks that will include everything but the kitchen sink. Arch Oboler has written this play, The House I live In, which has nothing to do with plastics or packaged conveniences but which has to do with a man’s heart.
