On the afternoon of June 8th 1954, two dangerous lunatics hid in a laundry coach leaving a state hospital. They disposed of the driver, and escaped. A full state alarm was promptly sent out, and police threw up roadblocks in all the areas highways, blood hounds were ordered in from nearly Franklin County, all to no avail. When the governor requested bureau cooperation, the empty laundry coach had been located at the bottom of Beacon Lake, but there was no clue whatever to the whereabouts of the missing men...
