In this romantic comedy ad man Stephen Dexter asks his secretary Kendall to marry him as a technicality in order to protect his finances during an important business deal. Once the deal is completed, he asks Kendall for a divorce but she refuses, as she actually does love Stephen.

At the end of the show Roger Pryor introduces Mary Pickford to present an award to award a silver plaque to the Gulf Oil Company in appreciation of their sponsorship.
