George Zimmerman the furniture dealer is the syndicate’s top man in the bookie division, every dollar wagered finds its way to him. He keeps the local share and sends the rest to New York. The treasury department has established that his income is $200,000 and he only declared $50,000. The syndicate fearing he turn states evidence and tell who he has sent the money to have given orders for his death.
