As we look in on the little community today, we find Lum in bed at his house. Abner and Grandpappy are standing just outside of his room talking. Abner thinks that Lum may be waking up now, so has asked Grandpappy to go over to the store to keep an eye on things, since Doc Withers is currently there, and he tends to mess things up quite a bit!
