The Lone Ranger had pitched camp in familiar territory, and sent Dan Reid to the post office in the nearby town of South Flats. When Dan returned, his face wore a happy grin! He had collected the mail and thoroughly enjoyed it - even if it wasn't really his. The Lone Ranger has been awaiting the arrival of a book he ordered in Dan's name for Grandpa Thatcher, and the postmaster had given him a letter for a Mrs Thatcher too, which Dan promised to deliver as soon as they arrived at their destination.
