This story recreates the tense atmosphere of tunnel building bringing to life the hard living hard working sandhogs who labor underground.

Laura Redmond wasn’t happy when her son Steve followed his father in to the tunnel building business. Joe Remond believed if it was good enough for him and his father then it was good enough for his son but Laura feared that it would kill her son the same as it did her father-in-law.
