Herringbone Murder Case

Broadcast: 22nd February 1949
Starring: Jackson Beck
Added: Jul 08 2008
The Herringbone Murder Case opened with the finding of the body of Edith Payne, dress shop owner. She had apparently been pushed under the wheels of a truck and a newspaper photographer passing by had snapped a picture almost immediately after the accident. No one in the crowd surrounding the body was identifiable. Later at the dress shop Philo Vance discovered a memorandum concerning the store manager Clair Collins left by the dead owner. Vance appears puzzled by a picture in the photograph of a man wearing a double-breasted suit.
