The Heavyweight Murder Case began when prizefighter Mike Daggart keeled over in the ring. Investigation showed that the challenger had been doped and poisoned and revealed that Billy Stanley, Daggart’s girlfriend and nightclub photographer did not want Mike to win. Nor did K.O Connolly, the champion or his manager Morgan.
