Fibber McGee and Molly are invited to Washington by her cousin Alvin but Fibber has an argument with himself not to go and he won. However then a character comes to him out of  history book and tells him that they need him in Washington to represent the average man. So it's decided, he will go to Washington once he gets his suitcase out of the hall closet!
