Professor Wagner sat in his office in the old brick chemistry building a late issue of the chemistry journal open on the desk before him. The sounds of the campus and the reassuring tic of his secretary’s typewriter made him feel sleepy unable to concentrate on the article he was reading. It was in fine print and the professor found himself tempted to drop it in to the waste paper bin. But he was forced to continue reading. When the Dean published the rest of the department was expected to read it. Suddenly he turned back the pages and re-reads the article more carefully his mind shuffling between memory and suspicion. Why was it all so familiar?
