It is New Year 1948 and “Father Time” played by William Bendix has been given the task of finding the “happiest person alive” to young “1948” played by Walter Tetley. “1948” is just a happy go lucky kid and he thinks it will be an easy report to write, he can think of lots of people who must be the happiest person alive, yet after a week finds all his candidates have reasons not to be -  until “Father Time” shows him otherwise. That’s just human nature!
